Parc Asterix

Parc Asterix is an amazing place with everything that a theme park needs. From immersive theming, thrilling rides, and more. This had a thing for everybody. So here are my top 15 rides along with some other small details that we saw. I will put less description in the rides that are lower down the list.
Number 15: Epidermis Croisières (and yes most of the names will be in French). This is a nice relaxing boat ride through the town where asterix lives and you will see some cheap animatronics that are related to the books.

Number 14: Le defi de cesar is a madhouse which means the rooms spin around you and you rock as well. This is themed to feel like you're on a boat, you sink, and maybe a kraken helps you? I didn't know the room was spinning. I couldn't concentrate on two things at once.
Number 13: Romus et Rapidus is a fun river rapid ride around Pegase Express that is intense but you don't get wet. This would have been higher if my mum didn't ruin it by telling us that a kid died on it a while ago. Soooooooooo yeh. Other than that pretty good ride.

Number 12: L’oxygenarium is like a river rapid but you're going down a water slide. It takes you up a big lift hill at the start and then you go down a slide all the way to the bottom. The Steampunk theme looks really cool with the big moustache, but in the queue it's quite loud. You lucky dont get wet at all though so there's a bonus.
Number 11: Discobelix is a highlight of the park and most of the time the busiest ride here because it's so popular for some reason. We think the story is that Obelix is competing in a–what we call–discus competition and we are riding on the disc. You look out and spin around as you follow the track going back and forth half over water and half in the woods. This ride has amazing scenery themed to be in the roman olympics we think.

Number 10: L’hydre de Lerne is a ride that I personally really enjoyed where you spin horizant in three ways up you go slightly up and down giving this ride lots a g’s and some popping airtime and was better than expectations. This ride has a tangle of blue dragons on top, and it’s also next to what we think is the worst roller coaster ever!
Number 9: Goudurix is the first roller coaster on the list. This ride Sophie did not get to do because of the height restriction. This coaster has seven inversions and that's some scenery at the station but other than that, that's really it to this ride. It's got a good speed to it and a little shake to your head. This is a very old roller coaster that opened in 1989. So it's one of the park's signatures.
Number 8: Le grand splatch is a daredevil to get you wet. This ride goes around the mountain that has the iconic giant Asterix sitting on top. As you go round there will be tons of water jets and cannons that have terrible timings because they stop as soon as it starts to hit the boat which means you don't want front seat when you finish looking at the amazing pirate scenery you will be greeted with the cascades and get soaked this made us completely laugh because none of us except for Sophie wanted to get wet and Sophie got the least wet.

Number 7: La trace du hourra is a METAL bobsled coaster (it's brown so on the map it looks like wood) which means it acts like a roller coaster on a slide. This is super tame but is one of a kind since I think bobsleds are slowly dying away. I still bring the thrill up with the fact that the train is not securely on the track. I don't have much else to say other than that there is a big rock that you go inside of at the station similar to toutatis.
Number 6: La tour de Numérobis is a giant chair swing that goes very high up in the sky and this actually is very cool but also terrifying at the same since you're only being held on by 6 or 4 chains dangling while spinning around so that you go on an angle. This has crazy good views of the whole park and very good scenery at the bottom in the queue line which is expected because this ride is on the newer side of things because it's in the Egyptian land in the corner of the park.

Number 5: Menhir express is a small log flume… the end that's it. NO ITS NOT! This has speed and a sneaky little dip of coaster part which gets you drenched because of all the momentum of the drop and going back up! This ride has the usual track with a bit more speed, and then that sneaky part! Then you keep going nice and relaxed, then up a lift hill down the big drop like a normal log flume (you still get soaked). Not much scenery on the ride other than the indoor sneaky bit! (it was so unexpected and again none of us wanted to get wet.
Number 4: Pegasus express is a family roller coaster which went way past our expectations. First with the roman train station themed queue you get on the ride and have that small launch out of the station and do some of the track there. Then you head up the main lift hill and take a large amount of track around the car park area where you can see real life sheep! As you go back round going over top of the rapids you’ll go into a room with a giant head of medusa. Then she will spray water on you (I feel like they like getting us wet) and send you out backwards out the room. Then you finish the ride all the way back to the station backwards. This ride is super cool.
Number 3: Tonnerre 2 Zeus is a wooden roller coaster that is tucked away in the corner of the park. As you go through the entrance under Zeus (and have a look at his pink, duck, undies) and hop onto the ride. You get sent on this head banging, very thrilling, lightning striking, thrill of an adventure. After you go up the very tall lift hill you go down a very fun track that feels like it never ends of turning and great airtime hills but no inversions. Then, near the end you go through a tunnel with lightning strikes on the wall and loud noises or zeus. After that you're back in the station, and I loved this ride a lot.

Number 2: OzIris is a hanging coaster put into the egyption land. This coaster is all looping around this huge temple used as the queue and station. The queue has epic scenery and the ride itself has 5 inversions. This ride goes under water underground and takes up alot of space because of everywhere it goes non stop. It brings up the thrill that your feet are dangling and the track isn’t under you, it's above you. The story that we think is about this ride is that the king is hypnotizing you and you're forced to do it or something like that. Overall a super fun ride.
Number 1: toutatis is the best roller coaster I have ever ridden. This intamin quadruple launch coaster has 3 inversions. It's the fastest ride in the park, the tallest coaster in the park, it feels like it has the most airtime in the park, and it's the newest coaster for when we were there. First you go through the queue passing the giant statue of toutatis we think then go into the rock and get put on the coaster. You get launched out of the station straight into an inversion which feels like you're upside down forever. Then go around some track into the second launch which has a tiny airtime hill which means a lot of air time. As soon as you get launched up a hill but don't quite make it then go backwards back through the launch even faster this time and back up the tallest part of the ride and lucky you don't make it to the top (because the track does not carry on). Then back through the launch 110 km per hour and make up over the hill and go down a beyond vertical drop into the rest of the layout which is so fun. Then the best airtime hill at the end which is so snappy. Heading into the station you ever had the best time of your life or the worst time of your life, for me it was the best.
So that was the top ten rides at Parc Asterix. Hope you enjoyed and didn’t get pored and we will hopefully see you in the next Alemann adventure.
