Geneva

 Geneva - Switzerland

Geneva is a city on the border of France and Switzerland. This was a great stop in our amazing adventure so I hope you enjoy reading a boring documentary about us in Geneva. (please keep reading)

Our Air BnB was just inside Switzerland, like we looked out the window to border security. It was cool.

When we arrived we unpacked our stuff and decided to get the Geneva pass so we could do lots of the touristy stuff around Geneva. First thing on that list was a huge Gondola line up the mountain. This however is in France but we still just walk! At the top you could see the whole city and lots of the Alps famous mountains including Mount Blanc (White Mountain.)

We walked a little bit to an open field where we had our Sound Of Music moment. Then we walked a little bit more to another viewing point with a restaurant we ate at. After that, racing against time to get down the mountain before it was dark, we had a sleep in Switzerland.

The next day we had a plan. We drove the car into the city and got on a tiny tourist train around the park and lake side. After that we walked over the bridge to the other side of the lake to a church and did a walk up the bell towers and luckily they did not go off while we were there.

Walking back over the bridge we hopped on a boat ride around the lake which was pretty relaxing. Hopping off the boat and getting on a tour bus around all the famous buildings including the United Nations.

Going for a quick snack and ice cream and heading over the bridge once again we headed to the big Geneva Fountain itself. Making its way up 140 metres this is huge and I was fascinated. Right next door was our next activity, peddle boating and I loved it. I hopped in the water after a while and it was so nice in the heat. Daddy enjoyed pedaling and it was a lot of fun.

Having a nice meet up with my granddads, dads, siblings, Grandson, Kevin. We had a drink with him and a snack and that's the end of our Geneva adventure.

I hope you enjoyed reading (I’ll be surprised if you did) and I’ll hopefully catch you next time on Alemann Adventures.
